Personal surprises are up, professional ones will have to wait...

I would like to thank all those that have had the patience to look for what I have to say for so long... I said a few days, well it took over a month, and what I will say is only a fraction of what, only a month ago, I though I could say as only personal things are my own decision...

I already warned that anything professional would be on my msdn blog, and it won't be still many days/weeks that I can speak about anything happening on the platform or  server for process stuff...

There are yet big news on the personal side:

There are encounters that change the way we think about life. there are encounters that even change our lives. Yet there aren't so many encounters that change both our life and our perception about life... encounters that one feels in the depth of his guts that nothing will ever be the same...

As much as I used to love writing, I have not felt I needed to say anything except what I whispered into her ears... As much as I always was available for my friends, I only cared about what she felt...

To cut a long story short, I am feeling legendary love, and think (when my ego is not under control)  that we (see next paragraph) are part of the circle of Cleopatra and Antonio, Antar and Abla,, Qais and Leila,  Romeo and Juliet.... etc. Time evolves, and we don't need a drama to boost our feelings...

I never felt this way, although I had extremely strong feeling for friends (with or w/o benefits) before and still do. I had teenage love(s) (I won't specify numbers, sorry), and even simulacres of the ideal love. I would die anyday to preserve one of my real close friend's life. I do have the most amazing kind of love, one that can never be changed or topped : My love for Arwa, the most intelligent and beautiful girl in the world, my daughter. But I still forgot my friends since I met her. I would not only die for her, I litterally can't live a day without her...

In three (extensible) words, I love Nadia, and she is my wife.

That's all I can say for now.

Not counting home, Me and Goksin just realized we have been on 4 continents this month... and we've been there together too... does this call for a new club?

The stupid british chick at the women's room...

My Friend, that was a weird chick, wasn't it ?

What was so upsetting about you going to the women's room in the first place. Can't she wait like everybody else ? and then the noise she was making banging the door on you... Then the vulgarity of her remarks, like why didn't you sweep the toilet, and the yelling for the whole restaurant to hear "He can't aim!"

You were so right my friend pouring that glass of water on her head from the terrace where we were having dinner...

Were is that firewall ?

Since I came here to Mauritius, I have been exposed to an unfair amount of beauty. So much so that this simply cannot be natural. There must be something filtering out any woman that is not beautiful (the only ones you might come across are mainly tourists)... can it have something to do with the sugar cane plantations covering every piece of land that is not a village or beach?

Not only Kathleen is real, she's great...

For quite some time, my friends, the buzz has beeen about who she is, and even whether she real...

I have always been a guy that trusts his friends (I hope I never failed on that, for it touches the essence of who I am), and I have never accepted the buzz questioning whether Kathleen existed... Well, I did meet her today, and more than that, she's going to SD and meeting most of you (those going to TechEd US at least)...

What can I say about somebody I met today? Excuse me if this sounds too structured, but here are my impressions :

   1. A beautiful woman, easy going, mature in her reasoning. I hope I made a new friend today, for, if I am very picky, she really is great.

   2. I have talked about this with Stephen and Kathleen, although after being intoxicated, but I really think he found a match, and wish them both the best

   3. To all of you my friends, I can only say that this season has let us all be more personnal, and that Kathleen fits in just like my dear friends Pat, Tules and Diane do...

It is very late here in NY, so I'll say more tomorrow (including how a blond bombshell can get a beer glass as a gift at a bar, and many more stuff).

Why aren't you here ?

Today was a great day, receiving great friends (CV and Pat). We have gone through Casablanca, seen some intersting stuff (could you play it again sam, please?) ... So why aren't you here with us buddy? actually you are with us even without being here (the concept is very present in Arabic litterature about the "visible absent" (الغابر الظاهر) applies to you beautifully...

   See you Tuesday dude ...

levels of suckiness ...

At TechEd, Don Box was wearing a Shirt (you were there steven) that said : "Windows 95 sucks less ..."

Ever since, there has been a new standad for mesuring the level of suckiness ... The standards specs say basically that there needs to be four seprate mesurements for suckiness, and those have to be made by the standards body, ie : Clemens Vasters, Stephen Forte, Goksin Bakir and myself ...

Well, tonight, although I have not collected all the votes yet, I can affirm that the level of suckiness is high ... At least it was at the secret party ... (oops, I shouldn't say anymore) ... and I have two votes out of four, having it like this : IT SUCKS... that is the probable reason the other two weren't there ...

Ok, what happens in the party doen't stay in the party ... Being in one of the most wonderful places on top of holywood hills, but having no fun what so ever, except the great company of Cigdem, Goksin and Selcuk ...

Steven, where are you ? I know you are were it is happening, and I'm not there ...

OK, the pdc doesn't suck at all, but this party does ... I hope tomorrow will be better ...

I hope you are having a better time than I ... good night.

This doesn't suck ... where are you steven ?

I don't know if I said that earlier, but I hate LA. still, when I go to a conference, there are certain things that make me think it is great or it is bad, among which is the content, but to a fairly lovel, because the content is something I can always get later ... The social events around the conference, to me at least are very important, and surprisingly, they are above any level of suckiness this far ...

Tonight, I had a chance to see quite a few of my RD friends, among which was Goksin, the one and only Clemens Vasters (whith all of the T-Shirts I would have loved to have, switching them during the evening just to make us all go crazy ...), my really good friend and the most honest, interesting and clever person I know, Scott Hanselman ,  “the” Tim Huckaby (I don’t venture into describing him, come on, you know him …),  the beautiful greatest, most connected, knowlegeable and valuable pal, Michelle Leroux Bustamente, the head spinner herself, great Kate Gregory, the great Patrick Hynds, my good and mobile friend Jon Box, the tranquil but enthousiastic (without showing it) great and very professional Yann Faure, and many other that I know maybe a litte less, but are just as great as the ones mentioned, like Olivier bourdin, Tim Landgrave, and many others ..

Basically, we are all here, and the fun is getting into place quite quickly. So, Steven Forte get over here quick ...
